Tuning the Winegard DS-2076 15 seconds

To tune the dish fast you need to have a reference point, which I use the top part of the back of the mount/lnb rod which is an easy spot to reach the lock down bolts.
Tighten the mount enough so you can easily move the dish left & right but as not to have the dish tilt forward from the weight of it. Next use the chart to set the dish via the angle finder and lightly snug the elevation on of the elevation bolts. Move the dish left & right with the meter on or some one watching the TV screen signal strength meter till you peak it out at the frequency you are on. That's it ! Once you try it this way a couple of times you will be a pro.
If you want to target a satellite that is less than 20.5 degrees there is a simple trick to do it. Using a compass point the mount towards the direction of the satellite of the below 20.5 degrees and tilt the mount 10 degrees toward the satellite. The formula is (20.5 deg. minus 10 deg.) which can give you the lowest elevation of 10.5 degrees. Forget the elevation gauge and use the chart to target the satellite of the elevation you want.

Use this chart minus degrees is the dish pointing forward toward the satellite. Zero degrees is the dish straight up vertical and plus degrees is the dish tilting back from vertical.
